Let's
face it, the planet is a mess. There are wars raging on many continents.
Pollution is piling up. Resources grow more scarce while human beings
grow, shall we say, more abundant. The globe is heating up. The polar
ice caps are melting. Fish stocks are down. Many of the 7 billion or
so people on the planet don't have enough food, shelter or clean drinking
water. Many animal and plant species are on the verge of extinction.
Systems of government in many nations are corrupt, lawless or just plain
non-existent. Education systems are lacking in many nations. Human rights
are often pitted against the needs of the state or economy. Corporate
entities, like the governments they work with, lack oversight by the
law. Humanity seems to lack a sense of social responsibility and maybe
even a collective identity. Maybe you can probably think of other problems.
What can any one person do?
Here's
the challenge: If you were a person with great political and economic
resources under your control, such as the President or a board member
of a multinational corporation, what problem would you choose to address
first? How would you address the problem?
That's
it. Fill in your answer to the challenge below. Your answer can be as
long as you like. THERE ARE PRIZES FOR THE BEST ANSWERS! First
